Sending to a countryUnited Kingdom
Should I send to a UK account using sort code + account number, or IBAN?
For payouts to the United Kingdom, the preferred way to send is with the recipient's sort code and account number. While we accept both formats, our payout partner has advised that sort code + account number is the preferred method for UK payments and is the most reliable way to get funds to your recipient.
- Sort code: a 6-digit code identifying the recipient's bank and branch.
- Account number: usually 8 digits.
If you only have an IBAN, we can still process the transfer ā but where you have the choice, providing the sort code and account number is the smoother option.
Please double-check these details with your recipient before sending, as funds are delivered to the account details you provide.
