Will my payout to an Australian bank account arrive instantly via Osko or NPP?
To pay funds out to an Australian recipient, we send to their BSB and account number. Payouts to an Australian bank account are not sent over the Osko / New Payments Platform (NPP) rails, so the payout to your beneficiary's account is not instant.
In practice, your beneficiary's payout is processed within the same day, following our banking partner's daily cut-off time. Transfers we receive close to or after that cut-off are processed on the next banking day.
It's worth knowing that Osko is enabled on our funding (Automatcher) account. That means when you fund a transfer out of Australia, you can use the NPP rails for near-instant funding of your transfer — which helps us start processing your transfer sooner. The near-instant part applies to funding us; the payout to the recipient settles via standard bank processing as described above.
To double-check a BSB, you can use our BSB lookup tool.
